  • Thank you! I will give it a try.
  • The product I like is from "Natural Chemistry's spa purge". It is pretty amazing the stuff that comes out with it. Assuming the plumbing is pvc you may be able to pass a diluted form of ascorbic acid through the lines as well, be careful if it is passing through a heater though, you may want to bypass the heater. I would call any one of the chemical manufacturers of ascorbic acid to determine the sutability of this method, I have never used this method but have heard of a couple of techs using it sucssfully. The most important thing would be to determine WHY the metals are there in the first place and solve that problem first. If the metals are from the source water I use a great prefilter that attaches to the garden hose for top ups from Hydropure technologies called MetalTrap. www.hydropuretechnologies.com

  • Hi Karen. First you should establish where the debris is coming from. Is it scale that has built up over the years or is it a new problem. After that issue is identified, and corrected, there are numerous products designed to flush the lines.
