Anyone have the answer already?

I realize there are many other factors (impact of type of chlorine on pH, etc.) but... if you have a pool (big one - about 660,000 gallons) that uses solid chlorine, and you want to convert it to liquid chlorine, what is the cost of the conversion, and what is the cost difference to operate the old way (solid) to the new way (liquid)?

Thanks for any help!

Mat

  • Mat,
I do this quite often in my cost reduction analysis for facilities, compare the cost of Sodium Hypochlorite to Calcium Hypochlorite ( in most cases). it will depend on the type of solid you are using, whether 65% Cal Hypo or some other type of solid chlorine.

Feel free to contact me at Wes@callthepoolguy.com and we can discuss your application. I should be able to run the numbers for you.
  • I would be interested to know how you are introducing solid chlorine to a 660,000 gallon pool.
