what are the pros and cons of using 3/8 stone for setting and backfilling?

Sorry i have not gotten back on this issue but my health took a tail spin about 30 days ago culminating with a hip replacement surgery on monday. Stone back fill has many advantages such as 100% compaction, virtually no settling issues, and is faster. The one major drawback is the back fill cannot have sharp edges that will wear away the fiberglass over time. Getting this type of backfill comes at a premium in many areas but you will find it will be cheaper in the long run because of the peace of mind you will have after the job is done.
