It has been a while since I've added any Twitter Tips, and I realized today I am LONG OVERDUE!

I know that you are all still very busy on Twitter, and doing a phenomenal job of keeping our industry buzzing in the minds of current and future pool owners. That being said, everyone runs into a mental block every now and then when you don't really know what to Tweet about any more.

So, the idea for this discussion group is to share our Favorite Tweet Tips - things to tweet about, ways to keep your tweeting fresh, and best practices that will keep us all on the top of our game.

Add your tips, and feel free to test out and comment on mine! I'm going to try to keep the group busy, so I won't give them all at once, but I've got a list that runs on for pages, so stay tuned!

The first idea I would like to share is one I tested out yesterday and had a great time with:

Choose a hash tag (#) and follow it for the day. Share all the best tweets with your followers - remembering to include the hashtag. Try to choose a tag that is related to your business, but maybe a bit outside the box.

For example, yesterday I followed the hashtag "#waterconservation" and not only did I learn quite a few new ways to conserve water, but I also grew my network! What other hashtags should we follow?

Here's another tip for you. I tested it out yesterday and I enjoyed myself, if nothing else!

I know you are familiar with Wikipedia, but did you know about theAquapedia.com? If not, go visit it RIGHT NOW and add a listing that talks about your expertise. This is basically Wikipedia for the Pool Industry, and it is a great way to help share your passion with everyone who is connected to the great, big, interweb.

Once you have checked it out, take some time to make note of a few key pages to share with your Tweet Followers throughout the day. Make sure you use a hash tag (#Wikipedia or #TheAquapedia) to help people find your tweets after you share them.

You will learn a lot, I am sure, and you will have a lot to share!
