I have come up with an exciting new idea for this, the Pool Tweet Group. I just hope that you are all as excited as I am. As you may know by now, one philosophy I live my life by is this:
“the quickest and most effective way to learn new skills is to teach those skills to others.”

I also strongly believe that you help yourself by helping others. I have been doing my best to help you all establish yourself as Pool Industry Twitter Extraordinaires, but I think I am in need of some assistance moving forward.

I am going to start a new series within this group, and this series is going to be for you and about you. I am going to be doing interviews with the members of the Pool Tweet group. The interviews will be fairly short and sweet and they will be shared with the rest of the members. After the interview is conducted and published, I will take the information to offer feedback, suggestions, and support for the interviewee, which should help anyone currently using Twitter to expand their business' presence on the world wide web.

If you would like to be interviewed, all you have to do is download the interview form attached to this discussion group. When you have taken a few minutes to answer the questions, simply email it to me at monique@flexiblesolutions.com

Just to add some spice to this endeavor, I have thought up some additional perks. These interviews are going to be reviewed and published on a first come first serve basis, and I expect a total of 107 + interviews, because that is the number of members this group currently has. So there is going to be prizes.

The FIRST completed interview form I receive will get a copy of Twitter Revolution by Deborah Micek and Warren Whitlock. Look it up, it is a very cool prize and it will be shipped to you free of charge once the interview is published.

The FIRST FIVE complete interviews I receive will receive detailed reports about their current social media web presence and my top techniques and suggestions for increasing there response. These reports will be very comprehensive and will probably take 2-4 weeks to complete. The will be entirely personalized to your business profile! That being said, they will be completely my own humble opinion.

So, there is not much left to be said but...

GET READY...

GET SET...

GO!!!

Interview with Mike McBride, Industrial Test Systems, Inc ~@sensafe
by Monique Nelson

Excerpt:

The last interview I did, with Sandy DeWitt, I focused heavily on growing your following and increasing your network.

Mike McBride is a Twitterer who has that aspect under control. With 2,409 followers, he already has an attentive audience. It is my opinion that the area of focus now should be creating a consistent plan of action that can be maintained and applied day-to-day, month-to-month.

Currently, Mike spends about 3 minutes a day on Twitter, depending on his workload. I am a firm believer that you should not devote hours of your valuable time to Twitter, but it does need regular attention and, like Mike himself says, “like anything in life you must dedicate time and be involved in the community.”

So, today, I am going to try to help Mike with a plan of action that will not take up his whole day, but will allow him to consistently interact with the community, building his reputation and brand awareness all the while.

Interview with Maureen Williams, D&D Technologies ~ @ddtechglobal
by Monique Nelson

Recap:

I began this feedback series with Sandy Dewitt and shared tips to grow your Twitter following and increase your network. The next interview was with Mike McBride, and I focused then on creating a consistent plan of action.

Maureen Williams has been using Twitter for over 6 months now, and she has gained 82 followers for D&D Technologies, and returns the favor for 61 other Twitterers. A quick look at her “following” list leaves no doubt that she knows how to strategically find the people of value to her. On the flip side, her followers are many of the same people, and certainly within her industry of expertise.

The next thing I checked on was her tweeting consistency. In the past 6+ months, @ddtechglobal has left a grand total of 60 tweets. The last one being on November 16th. According to her interview, time was definitely a factor in Maureen's participation on Twitter, though she certainly expressed a desire to continue using the network, with increased results. An average of less than 10 posts per month is probably not going to grow her following at a significant rate, and I suggest that Maureen, and any other readers lacking a consistent plan, read the feedback from Mike's interview.

I want to provide new an interesting information for you all, however, so today I am going to help Maureen and D&D Technologies get better results from their Twitter account by integrating her Twitter activities with her other online social media outlets.
