This just in folks, I found a pretty comprehensive step-by-step guide to starting out with Twitter. Here's the link:

Enjoy and good luck!

Did you know that if you put a "D" and a space before the name of a Twitter user it will send the message directly to them, rather than making it public? Also, make sure than when you are replying to a comment or post from a user you place"@" before their name. This is proper Twitterqette and is very helpful to Twitter users and searches. Just a few tidbits for your growing repertoire of Twitter knowledge!

All you newbies, and even those of you who think you know it all about Twitter, this is ENORMOUSLY BENEFICIAL TO TWITTER USERS:
"Dan's "100 Twittin Secrets" are the result of exhaustive observation, implementation, research, testing and just having a little Twittin' fun. Never one to settle for the obvious, Dan's Twittin' Secrets exemplifies thinking out of the box and pushing the envelop, just enough, to get you thinking far more creatively about Twitter than perhaps you were before."
I guarantee everyone can learn a thing or two...probably closer to 80 or 90! I will probably use some of his tips as topics for upcoming discussions, so feel free to start talking about what you are learning!

Great article on Twitter as fastest growing social media, and references to business application.

Twitter's Tweet Smell Of Success

Twitter is one of the first social apps. MOST popular with adults! This app has HUGE potential, is on the ground floor, and it might be wise to learn now! (Hint Hint) Take care!

On the bottom of the Twitter page is a link to apps. If you click on this, there are many apps for cell phones and such . I found more than 10 versions that could be used for the Blackberry (which I use). It seems that there is at least 1 app for any type of phone.

Great idea for a group Monique. I too have been wondering how best to use this tool.

Is the crackberry the phone of choice amongst field/sales professionals? I chose to go with Sprint's HTC Touch Diamond Pro. I don't think Twitter behaves any differently does it?

I thought there was a third party app that commented to all social networks, does anyone here know if such an app exists. I too find it time consuming to stay on top of all.

I have posted a discussion group about Twitter for Blackberry's. If anyone knows more than I, please share your input!
I will be adding more discussions, soon, so keep watching. Thanks for the support and suggestions so far!
