glad to hear that, actually i got good offer from Dubai, but now i'm very engaged with the New Doha Int. Airport project it is quit a big project and i have large scope there.

I live and work in Norther new south wales about750Km north of sydney
For the last couple of years I have contract built pools for other builders in this area usually about one every 10 days. This year this has droped to 1 a month ,although enquiries have started to increase.
There is no dout the recession has had a large impact on the swimming pool and Landscape industry. I am also a part time teacher in our TAFE . which is the national Trade school system here.Numbers for apprentices and trainees are at there lowest seen for many years,reflecting the down turn.
All is not lost, while it has been 8 years since I lived in sydney. My brother is still there and is a builder.His thoughts are although top end work has slowed to a crawl. There is still work in renovations and add ons ( price to $200k Aust)
Which certanlly includes swimming pools.
Hope this gives you some insite, this time of year tends to be a bit slow anyway.( coming into winter) but we are positive thinks will pick up by August
