Spring is in the air...FINALLY......for us in Northern Alberta where is has been a long, cold winter.
Summer is fast upon us. I am a new Pool Genius member and also new to blogging so forgive me if my blog is too long. I am still trying to learn the nuances.
As a creative designer and equipment supplier for waterslides, children water play and water spray attractions, I am interested to see where people think the market is going these days?
Is energy efficient design and equipment operation important? Most of our competitors sell slides using 600 - 800 gpm ratings, while most of our slides can operate at 100 - 125 gpm with a smaller more energy efficient pump.
What about adding some unique 'hand activated' or 'push button activated' water play features for the kids that help conserve energy and water usage, yet provide a lot of fun and interaction for the kids?
I see many communities, private facilites that end up having somewhat the 'same old, same old' equipment that you see in many other locations. Are people not interested in diversity, something new or creative or something that is themed to their location?
For instance, we offer a unique 'water bomber' themed spray park with a large, signature airplane water bomber as the highlight feature. Think about all those communities bordering our great forest areas where the water bomber is of such importance.
I would welcome sharing more ideas and look forward to hearing from you out there as to what you feel is happening in the pool/aquatic industry in your area. What do people want? How can we deliver some new exciting products that also recognize todays concerns over the environment, the ecology, and our budgets.
