With effective dates for certain Federal requirements around the corner (December 19, 2008) it is more important than ever that pool professionals (yes, that means everyone, because that is the who the customer and the rest of the world see you as) arm themselves with the latest informtation. APSP members can and should access the November 25, 2008 webinar which covered all aspects of the VGB and make full use of APSP literature, including brochures, updates and the relevant standards. Trying to build or service a pool or spa without owning a copy of the ANSI/APSP-7 standard on entrapment prevention, as well as the relevant ANSI/APSP pool and spa construction standards is like trying to drive a car blindfolded.Keep an eye on the APSP web site for future updates and information, and for the names of member companies that have available VGB compliant covers.
