After a few months of digging and searching I found one website that had hit the nail right on the head for what I am looking for.http://www.motherearthnews.com/Do-It-Yourself/2002-08-01/Natural-Swimming-Pool.aspx2K for a pool. Something a family could embark on as a project.I am currently awaiting for some information from them pertaining to climate zones and if ayone has indexed natural pool or pond plants for Arizona Climate and still get he same desired result.one other thing since most of the people here are in the pool construction business I would like to recommend that a stronger push towards using recycled materials and more radical out of the box approaches.we all seek the same end desired result, a nice place to relax in and around our pool that has clean water and is fairly easy to maintain.I see lots of sidewalk concrete waste huge broken chunks of concrete piled upo in empty lots here and there around my town, I stopped and inquired with various businesses and they all the said the same thing.. take it if you want it.I could literally build a house ( instead of brick or rock) witht eh amount of free concrete that is out there. since this pioses a structural concern not knowing the psi strength of the pour I have been planning on patio uses for it. also perhaps to bury for re-inforcing the slop of a natural pool now. or mixing it up a 1.5 to 2 ft vertical drop then the slope....bottom line is in this economy the average joe and family (family of 7 for me) cannot afford a 20K pool installation on top of a home with 1/2 the value it once had.Donald Fronheiser
