You can do more to conserve energy by using solar to do more than heat your pool. 350 watts of PV and a dc pool pump can take you off the grid for filtering and running your pool. Solar heating still has a 30% income tax credit with the federal govt. If your pump goes out then replace it with panels and a dc pool pump. you will save many kwh per month.
