  • Have you considered using email campaigns in the form of monthly newsletters to all your customers keeping them informed with helpful tips and monthly specials. You can post a sample of your newsletters and ask existing customer to sign up to get specials and discounts. This is the least expensive way to stay in contact with your clients. Do you have a customer database? With a database or excel spreadsheet you can import your list into Constant Contact and create attractive promotions and emails and automatically send them out. • your local pool supply store sounds encouraging . would like to get where the "store at least pays the rent year round . normally it is only busy may thru oct . not everyone has a pool . almost every body likes sports .lol
  • I said coupons because I imagine in retail the hardest part is getting people into your store the first time;
    once there the merchandise should bring them back. Our local pool & supply store has seemingly evolved into a gift store with pool supplies in the back!! They have all sorts of unique backyard related items and cooking things to go with the BBQs. Good luck!
  • coupons - I especially like $ off with $ purchase
  • thanks jeremy ,
    i did put that out in my fall mailer but i may put together a winter one because our mail list is growing every day . this is my first year full time in myown . we worked part time since 2001 . i managed aretail pool store and did service & construction before that .
  • how about making all of your previous customers from day one, aware of what you have to offer for the offseason? a nicely done postcard perhaps?
