Online Social Networking

I think it is clear by our participation on this website that all of us here at Pool Genius see the value in online social networking. Today I came across a good website that addresses just this topic in a clear and concise manner.A key theme on that blog is that your online presence should show off your work and expertise. I really believe that this works. The more we share what we know with others, the more we raise both the standards of the industry and raise our own game. No matter what field one works in, there is always new things to learn. I for one, learn most when I participate in discussions like this one.I have used several of these methods myself. I have video demonstration videos. I have this blog as well as another one. All this makes my online presence much more informative than a simple webpage that would do little more than would a yellow page listing.Web 2.0 is all about interaction. It is about learning with and from others.

  • One more thing...

There is another new Pool focused Social Network that was talked about this year in Vegas. Does anyone have a link?
  • I found Tip #8 intriguing:

Do major blogs cover your business's area of expertise? If so, actively comment and add to the conversation. Offer to create guest posts to share your knowledge and broaden your audience. This means adding real value to the conversation.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this one?
