My need is some advice on construction scheduling management and/or programs. Boss wants to see and we need to have a scheduling program to plot and track our projects and men they want see what is happening all the time on every job. I found a Gant chart for free but it seems a little off for what we need. So question is, is there something out there that can track each individual project well, is (reasonably) easy to use and adjust, and simple for anyone to understand when they want to look at it? I'm sure you all know well the many variables involved with pool construction so you can see why a canned free scheduler doesn't seem quite right. I am getting allot of negative feedback here in house when I suggest using "real" paper to track the flow of our customers projects and construction until we buy the big expensive program. So I am stuck somewhere in between, we need to be razor sharp now (we have allot happening these days) but no management program forthcoming and no more paper everything needs to be digital.
