I find that one of the best ways to social network (aside from Twitter, of course) is to set yourself up with Google Alerts, tagging any and all keywords that relate to your products. Keep an eye on all the mentions of these keywords and participate wherever possible to add your expert 2 cents. For example, I have "pool cover" set as one of my keywords, so whenever there is a new online conversation mentioning "pool covers", I get an email. Whenever it is a blog, forum, etc., I visit the post and leave comments wherever possible. This is a fantastic method of driving traffic to my blog & website, because I leave information and a link in every comment. It is not a networking site, per se, but it works wonders for online marketing.

    Good luck!

PS: this is an example of how I would leave my link!
