I have done a few glass walls recently in Dallas. Get in contact with Reynolds Polymer Technology, Inc. www.reynoldspolymer.com
They will engineer the glass wall for you at no cost and they also have installation crews that can do the install. From my experience I don't think the 1 1/2" thick panel will be adequate to handle a 5' x 10' panel. There are a lot of factors that come into play... My guess would be 3".
I would also call Dennis Wightman with ATM out of Las Vegas for a second quote. They installed my first acrylic panel.

We regularily fit glass window, portholes and panels in our shells. First and formost make sure it is engineered certified and spec. The thickness sounds about right, but does vary depending on position in pool depth etc and size.But again it is the glass engineer not structual engineer that determines this. The struct engineer only engineer's the concrete and steel around window not the glass itself. With a window with exposed top edge at top of pool, we create a rebate each side and bottom for glass to fit into later then gets seal. With port holes or alike we create a 2" rebate with a 2 1/2" face on water side for glass to be affixed to then seal off around follwed by a tiled or s/steel trim in rebate to cover adhession fixings.
Some companies here have used pre framed glass, but have encountered many leak issues from frame/ concrete sealing issues. Best to straight fix and trim latter this way all water is contained and see if any failure has occurred before it to late when pool full.
