We have 3 Lochinvar copper fin2 990,000BTU water heaters that are 3.5 years old. They have been maintained per the recommended schedule and have plenty of make up air. A month ago we started having issues with it not staying lit but got it to relight. 2 weeks ago it went down due to a voltage drop when the system loads. The transformer was replaced by our mechanical contractor. When that didn't work he replaced the gas valve per the recommendation of the factory techs. All other components have been checked and are OK. Now the factory is saying we should replace the wiring harness and that has been ordered. But a few days ago we had a second heater go down with the same error message. We were able to get it re-set. But I'm concerned about the pattern and that we've had to spend a ton of money for labor with no result yet. Has anyone else had experience with these heaters, good or bad? Any suggestions? Did we get a set of lemons?

What error message is it showing? At what point does it (do they) get to in its startup sequence?
I'm not totally sure since the work is being done by an outside mechanical company. I think he said "FP"? The power drops off when the system loads
