How many folks here tuned into the PGA webinar last Thursday? What were your opinions? What do you think about the cost? I thought it was somewhat interesting, mainly because it was something that applied to pools. The one thing that bothered me was that it was really just a 2 1/2 hour long commercial to get you to purchase a membership. The emails promised that I would learn so much by attending this broadcast, but that did not happen. It was all just a teaser to tell me what is "upcoming". Oh well I suspected that would be the case anyway. No free lunch.I did appreciate the effort put forth by all those involved, and the service guy was very interesting and seemed knowledgeable. I'm not sure if I want to pay the fee to participate any further though. I would be interested in hearing what others think first.

  • Hi Bud,

I can relate to being cautious when I joined the PGA late last year.  My current report is WOW, I am gaining a competitive advantage by working with these folks.

My website now ranks #1 organically for Scottsdale Pool Service & Repair, a very competitive market.  The educational opportunities are awesome. both technically & in sales & marketing.  We are moving to include our key employees in the sessions and continuing to improve our site, rankings, marketing and more.

I agree with Jeremy, the more I put into working with the PGA, the more I get out of it!

We are a service (285 pools weekly) & repair company in Scottsdale, AZ.

I give the PGA my whole-hearted recommendation, just not to anybody in Scottsdale!

Feel free to give me a call,

  • I too am not a fan of infomercials.

I have been a member of PGN since its inception. I was member #5 including the faculty at the time.  I've been with the pool genius academy since day one too, I also am participating in the Pool Info Site as well.  I have found you get out of it what you put into it.  I, like you Bud, have bills to pay and am always careful to consider what does this dollar do for me and my business whether it's gas in the truck, insurance for the business, spent at the wholesaler, or spent in terms of my time to learn about my business from others who can teach.

I've learned a great deal and anticipate to learn even more about my pool repair business.  I look forward to each session on wed and now on thursday's too.  There is a great effort to bring the knowledge to you and likewise a great effort for you to come to it.  I would encourage you to consider investing some time and $ to working on the business rather than in it.

The PGN, and PGA have helped me learn, meet new people, people who I now call friends, I even get calls as a result of my participation in all of this, I've got new vendors from which I purchase from, I've employed people from this site and even added some to my business staff here.  This is a tremendous resource, a tool just as important as my volt-meter, and all the other tools I carry in my tool bag and on my van.

I don't work for these guys, no financial gain from them, I work for my passion of solving problems and I've found this network a means of coming up with the solution(s).

    Feel free to contact me.
