Hi. I was wondering what the rest of you have seen as far as roi for an ad either in the print book, online,or both. Do you bother with the upgraded listing? If you are not using the Yellow Pages/Dex, what other avenues aside from your web site do you provide for customers/potential customers to find you if searching on the web? Thanks!Matt

  • Hi, Rocco. How long have you used Yodle? What type of results have you seen from their work?

    Thank you!

The Yellow Book is losing ground, but there are still plenty of people who reach for it first when they need anything for their home. I think it'll be a few more generations before that changes too drastically.
Try Yodle.com for more internet based leeds.

  • my experience has been that is so not worth the $250/ month i put into yellow page advertising. I have had a small 1" in-column add. I decided to not put one in this year. The competitors ads got bigger and more colorful and even more platitudes. I get quite a bit of leads from other sources anyway. 2 calls per month from yellow pages directly doesnt justify the expense for me, yet it does offer some validity to those few that still use the yellow page book. Yellow pages' website listing has not contributed enough to me justify the expense. I advertise on craigslist, bulletin boards, harwarestores, pool stores, manufacturers warranty programs, and bandit signs that i feel i don't need to be in the yellow pages.

If you havent read Guerilla Marketing, then you need to pickup a copy right away. Anyone on here will verify, its the book to read. Look at http://poolgeniusacademy.com/ also.
