It’s a good idea to check the level of the coping frequently as you do your installation, adding shims where needed to ensure that the coping is level even if the pool is a little off. If your pool has waterline tile, you can let the coping cover the top of the tile, and this will help to lock the tile to the pool wall. If you want to leave the tile fully exposed, simply shim the coping as needed.
