  • I use the Wave Xpress also, and so far have no complaints. If you are going to use the Wave Xpress and have steady business, make sure to have a back up scanner in case you have to send one in to get worked on.
  • Go to www.h20-testing.com They offer the Wave Xpress III which I use at my store. The system uses the Aquacheck silver test strips and is comprable to the Lamotte system as far as accuaracy. The biggest difference is in your long term cost. The Lamotte system was costing me Approx. $1.70 per customer to do the same test that the Wave Xpress does with the Aquacheck strips for on about .15 cents. I have had really good success with this system. It is also easier to use than the Lamotte system in that your summer help does have to remember to wait the 1.. 2... 3 minutes for the vials with the lamotte. This obviously also speeds up the testing time so that your customer does not have to wait for there water test as long and can spend more time shopping.
  • You can also take care of all your water testing needs with a portable colorimeter like the ITS Micro 7+, the Hach DR890, the Palintest Pooltest 25. All of these products can basically test all the necessary parameters without taking up all that space. Plus they are much more affordable. The Micro 7+ test 36 different parameters and you can get the whole kit with all the testing reagents for under $500. The Palintest 25 costs about $600 and I have seen the Hach DR890 on Ebay for about $600. Just something to consider.
  • I agree on the Lamotte reagents as commented below....Be sure the lab has a software program to go with it where you can enter the name of the chemicals you use.
  • Call Craig...get the number to Hach-- Aquacheck, and see how much they are selling the Pro Lab for...the Lamotte reagents are a pain in the arse!
