      Wendy,

How was the meeting on the 23rd? Did you have good attendance? Wish I could have been there but I was in Charleston calling on customers.

      Wendy,

Hope things are going well for you. It was great meeting you at the show and I am looking forward to a fruitful season in the pool business. Please let me know if I can assist you in any way. Private label is just the start of what we could do for you!!

Re: your Tweet question about tracking chlorine purchases to thwart terrorists.

Chlorine doesn't make an effective killing agent against large numbers of people. Even chlorine gas produced from mixing chlorine with acid tends to dissipate very quickly and it's smell is very noticeable so that people can move away from it. It was tried by the Germans in WW I, but wasn't very effective since counter-measures (such as a damp cloth) were relatively simple and it took a LOT of chlorine to concentrate it against even a small number of people to kill them. There are many other volatile toxic substances such as nerve gasses that would be far more deadly, though most are harder to make. Explosives are much easier to make/obtain which is why that is the terrorists current weapon of choice.

Wendy ,we went to all Paramount infloor systems five years ago and they are the most trouble free system to clean pools. Have to charge for them though. We don't send vacuum hoses anymore.

Wendy, I had completely forgotten my days with Aqua Queen/King and yes two weeks! I sold Trojan pools too, and you are right about the greatest heat loss coming from the surface. Your comments sparked some nostalgia that wouldn't be of interest generally, thus the note here. Keep up the good work.
