  • I used the Builder's Manual almost daily for several years and then decided to try the CBP test. Without "studying" I passed the test. Since I am a shotcrete/plaster pool builder, I had to rely on common sense, knowledge of basic construction principals, and basic math to answer the questions relating to vinyl, fiberglass, and paint. Information from each section of the Manual was incorporated into the test. It was thorough and challenging, as I believe it should be, since that way it lends serious credibility to the CBP designation.
  • I do not believe any parts of the book are ignored but there are more than one test that can be given. The entire book plus your experience relates to the test. It includes all types of pools, all equipment and business management. It is the best thing I could have done to help my business and mitigate costs that come from learning the hard way. They are now giving courses where instead of just self study and taking the test you can benefit from the instructor before the test. Good Luck!!!!
