    I have used Plastaid to repair cracked skimmer and also cracked / leaking fiberglass stairs. I haven't had any failures. Additionally I have used it underwater where it cures and adheres just fine. When people get a price for replacement rather than repair they go for the repair every time!!!

    Luke,
    A leak at say, a multiport valve socket where replacement may not be practical. It's also a good tool in out of the way places (farm and ranch country) where repair parts are not readily available. I agree with Jeremy that it should be considered a temporary fix until a better repair can be made. Note: the joint must be completely dry for it to bond and seal.

    nah, its not the best fix for leaks. Replacing broken component is best fix for leaks. I find plastaid a good repair for when something breaks like a small plastic nut, saddle clamp assy or flow conrol valve on a tablet feeder, or the handle on the refrigerator door, the plastic toy for my 6 yr old son. Seems to have its place on the van for small piddly little crap that you dont often have a replacement part for. holding water back under pressure is not the best.

    Any place that sells cosmetics will have acrylic nail.....stuff. It's a powder and liquid that looks and smells the same, and works the same. I strongly suspect Plast-Aid is simply repackaged nail builder.
