Bruce I had no idea it would spark so many emotions. I'm so glad it has though. What a dynamic group of people. I feel I'm all the better from the discussions. I've gotten to know so many peolpe and their views. And thanks, if I'm ever in your 'hood I will take you up on the beer. If you are in my neck of the woods, the beverages are on me. I hope you and Rick have the same kind of relationship that I do w/ my good competition. Very professional collaboration. There is no "infighting" like I see elsewhere. Thank you for your input and passion about the industry.
I must join with Rick in thanking you for one of the most entertaining discussions on PGN to date. For me anyway. Aside from that, you most certainly invited to help polish off Rick's keg with us. He's just a few miles up the road from me and we mustn't remain strangers.
I have many friends in Fl. and worked at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo for a few years. Would love to make a trip back next year and maybe meet some of my new PGN friends. If I can pull it off I will give you a headsup.
Thanks for starting such a highly-charged discussion. I had no idea or was simply naive to the resistance there is out there to licensing. I agree that licensing alone doesn't make for a better, more knowledgeable pool technician. But, as I said in my more recent comments, we will either take proactive steps toward licensing from within our industry, or we will have it crammed down our throats by other industries, or we will simply lose out on a lot of business and a lot of companies will go out of business. I'd rather be in a position to have some say in what a license will mean, rather than be told by someone with very little knowledge of our industry.
Thanks again,
Rick
sorry Kris, I don't want to bore you, but the Invite screen doesn't come up on my wave page, and can't find it anywhere, so, ... I suggest you contact Miles. sorry
I am a new member and own a small pool svc in Tampa. In 2007, my wife and I introduced the industry to Multi-Tork, a 'revolutionary' set of pool tools. It is still a relatively unknown product, but steadily gaining a fan base. We hope you will become one after watching the video at: www.multi-tork.com or YouTube search bar: "Multi-Tork"
