I hear you, and am generally against ANY government control, but I think licensing is going to be inevitable and better for us to write a decent law that makes sense. ourselves than somebody with no knowledge of our business to come up with something that messes it up. It has been frustrating over the years to compete with idiots who come to Texas who have lost their licenses elsewhere and come here and do poor work and shaft the customers. I would like a common sense licensing law that would restrict that but help the good companies, if such a thing can be crafted. What I saw they were working on looked like it made sense.

      Thankyou Merry,
Both of those companies were very instrumental in my developement as an adult and as a pool pro. I hope its a good piece of legislation as Ive been in the opposition for many years. Guess I'll just have to man up when it all comes down.
Hope you and yours have a wonderful and safe Christmas.

      Merry,
Don't know if you wre following Kris Peterson's post re: licensing. Its a lively and, hopefully entertainig thread. Would love to have your take on the matter and what do you hear is in the till these days. Does it look to you as if the legislature may pass a license reguirement in Tx.? BTW, I worked for Barbara and Leroy Jenson many years ago as well as Norman Layne.

      Merry:

I own a pool svc company here in Tampa and 2 years ago introduced a pool tool to the industry to help techs 'cruise' through filter, pump and motor maintenance.

I invite you to log on to: www.multi-tork and download the 5-minute video. Your feedback is appreciated.

Hi Merry, Thanks for getting back to me. I have long admired the award winning work that you and your husband have created through the Years and would greatly welcome the challenge to custom design safety covers for them. Understanding that few do cover them, you can count on us (the originator) to deliver the best fitting cover in the industry for those few. Ironically, we do get a lot of leads from Texas and would love to share them being that anyone can't cover the entire Big state of Texas. Please let me know if you would like me to follow by sending you a dealer package and I thank you in advance.

      Best Regards,
      Gen Gallardo

Hi Merry, Thanks so much for attending our Outdoor Living Showcase. I really appreciate the support you and Charlie showed us. I hope it was worthwhile. I was a little overwhelmed trying to scrounge some business and didn't get to talk to you much at all but I hope it was worth the drive over and I hope you enjoyed your time in the hill country, Mike.
By the way to everyone, Merry's book is great and we give it to all our customers after we start up and turn the pool over to them.
